Rome - a treasure of world culture
Rome - a real Mecca for lovers of history and architecture. No other capital city can boast of so many monuments per square kilometer of its territory. "All roads lead to Rome" - a famous saying perfectly illustrates the grandeur and importance of this city. Overall, Rome should be called open. Because the number of places that need to visit to say: "I saw Rome" hard to count, it is better to divide them into several tracks, as it offers printed guides.

Photo-walk "eternal city" I started with a visit to the symbol of imperial power Starodyavnoho Rome - Coliseum (Colosseum). This is one of the famous sights of not only the Italian capital, but the whole of Europe. What did not see this amphitheater, and the gladiator fights and the hunting of wild animals and sea battles, for which the entire arena was filled with water. With its enormous size amphitheater could accommodate a 87 000 spectators. Referring to the old marble, which made its walls, you can feel the breath long history. Unfortunately, the current era survived only the northern part of its outer walls. Despite this, the amphitheater ruins attract many tourists from all over the world.

In ancient street Via Triumphalis, near the Coliseum, is another outstanding architectural monument - the Triumphal Arch of Constantine. It was built in 315 and dedicated to the victory of Constantine over Maxentius at the Battle Mulviyevoho in 312. 8 Corinthian columns made of yellow Numidian marble. Grounds columns decorated with reliefs depicting Victoria, the Roman soldiers and prisoners barbarians. When Constantine was also established relief frieze illustrating march against Maxentius Constantine.
